Harboring a fascination with all things “Star Trek” since childhood, actor William Shatner doesn’t take his fame for granted. The late-night Twitter tirade, brought on by a shoddy arrangement of hair products, still makes him “mad as hell” and he tells ET that more than ever, he looks forward to his many screen time opportunities.
He adds that he has changed his mind on returning to the “Star Trek” universe with a highly touted television series. He says, “It’s absolutely going to be in outer space.”
In the meantime, Shatner gets back to his profession, hosting a new Canadian TV series called “William Shatner in Space” on the Space Network, starting on May 1.
“What a wonderful opportunity to get paid, what a wonderful adventure, what a wonderful way of encouraging young people to go into science, engineering and technology,” Shatner says.
