Despite his defeat to Dominic Thiem on Thursday, Novak Djokovic remains on course to win his ninth French Open title, extending his record in that major to six. Djokovic has won the French in 2015, 2016 and 2017 and starts as clear favourite for Roland Garros this year. His only major defeat came in the 2015 final against Stan Wawrinka.
